International Board Certified Lactation Consultant

I’m Hannah, Mum, Wife, Health Visitor,  Paediatric Nurse, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Mindful Breastfeeding Practitioner and keen gardener.  I live near Tadcaster in North Yorkshire with my husband, 3 children and quite a few pets! I love to garden, flowers and indoor houseplants feature in large parts of my life. I also love to get crafty and make things, my most recent designs are using sea-glass to create beautiful pictures.  I have over 20 yrs experience working with families in hospital and community settings.

I have breastfed all 3 of my children and it  was during maternity leave with my youngest that I completed my IBCLC training.  I recently left the NHS to concentrate on providing excellent care in a way that suits my family and those I support.

Professionally I began my career as a Paediatric nurse in Leeds in 2000 where I worked on a Neurosurgical and Neuromedical ward until 2007, during this time I also nursed in Australia whilst travelling.

In 2006 I decided to further my education and qualified as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse, better known as a Health Visitor in 2007. My new role took me to Bradford where I enjoyed working for the next 13 yrs, I loved working with a diverse population and during this time discovered my passion for breastfeeding support. Whilst I was on maternity leave with my 3rd child I studied and completed my IBCLC qualification in 2018.
